QUINCY — Time is running out to be part of one of Plumas County’s favorite traditions! Parade organizers are making a final call for entries for the 79th Annual Plumas-Sierra County Fair Parade, taking place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM in historic downtown Quincy.

This year’s parade, held during the 79th Annual Plumas-Sierra County Fair (July 23–26), celebrates the fair theme, “The Best of America – 250 Years,” commemorating America’s 250th anniversary through patriotic displays, hometown pride, and the creativity that makes Plumas and Sierra Counties so unique.

The deadline to enter the parade is Friday, July 17. Community organizations, businesses, schools, clubs, families, musicians, vehicle enthusiasts, equestrian groups, agricultural operations, and individuals are encouraged to submit their entries before time runs out. Parade divisions include Floats, Bands, Novelty, Motor Vehicles, Horse Entries, and Machinery, offering something for everyone.

Completed entry forms, hold harmless agreements, and the $20 entry fee must be submitted by Friday, July 17 to The Quincy Hub, 493 Main Street, Quincy. Applications are available online at www.quincychamber.com/parade or can be picked up at The Quincy Hub.

Whether you're participating or cheering from the sidelines, everyone is invited to line Main Street and enjoy one of the community’s most beloved fair traditions. Bring your lawn chairs, gather with family and friends, and cheer on the many local businesses, schools, nonprofits, clubs, first responders, performers, and community members who help make the parade a true celebration of hometown pride.

While you’re downtown, take time to support Quincy businesses by shopping local, enjoying lunch or a sweet treat, and exploring everything Main Street has to offer during one of the busiest weekends of the year.

Following the parade, the celebration continues throughout the fairgrounds with the final days of the 79th Annual Plumas-Sierra County Fair, featuring livestock shows, exhibits, carnival rides, live entertainment, delicious fair food, competitions, and fun for all ages.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of this year’s celebration! Submit your parade entry by July 17 and join the community on Saturday, July 25, as downtown Quincy comes alive in celebration of “The Best of America – 250 Years.”
