LINDA — Construction is underway on Marigold Park, a 4.25-acre public park planned along Goldfields Parkway in Linda. “The people yearn for a dog park,” Yuba County wrote in announcing the work. The county expects construction to be complete in spring 2027.

The site is inside Goldfields Ranch, LGI Homes’ new subdivision on land south of North Beale Road and northeast of Linda Avenue in unincorporated Yuba County. Plans call for 499 single-family homes at full buildout, and the first recorded unit includes 92 residential lots.

Plans for Marigold Park include two play structures, a dog park, separate basketball and pickleball courts, shaded picnic areas, benches, walking paths, and open green space. Plans also include a 2.4-acre multi-use lawn intended for outdoor games, family events, and casual recreation. Construction is being financed as part of the private subdivision, rather than through a county construction grant.

Nearby Friendship Park also remains under construction in West Linda and is expected to reopen in late summer or early fall 2027 after a separate $5.8 million renovation funded through California’s Urban Greening and Clean California grant programs and local money.
