Downieville High to Graduate Four Seniors June 13

DOWNIEVILLE — This year, Downieville High School will graduate four seniors in the class of 2026. Donovan Gonzalez, Mariah White, Colton White, and Logan Kinneer will be recognized in the school’s graduation ceremony, which is scheduled for June 13, 4 PM, at 459 Mountain House Road in Goodyears Bar.

Colton White was named Valedictorian for the class in January. White will be attending California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt, in the fall.

“After 13 dreadful, foot dragging years at Downieville school, I finally get to walk the stage and get away from this place. I’ve spent years dreaming of this day and it's finally happening. I’d like to thank everyone who has encouraged me to blossom into the person I am today and helped me get through these past few years. Now, I guess it’s all water under the fridge.”

Colton White #

“As high school comes to an end I’d like to thank everyone who has helped me, my parents, friends, family, etc. Downieville is such a small town but it has a big place in my heart. I’ve lived here my whole life and it’s gonna be quite the change to move anywhere else. I only hope the best for this tiny community when I leave.”

Logan Kinneer #
