SIERRA CITY — On Sunday, May 10th, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, Big Springs Garden will host its “2nd Annual Mother’s Day Celebration.” The afternoon will commence with a family-and-friends social hour, providing ample time for all to wander the grounds and soak in the beautifully maintained landscape and vegetation. The Dining Hall will be open during this time, and all will have access to the Salad Buffett Bar, which will offer multiple salads, cheeses, deli meats, snacks, and a sweet or two. Moms, be sure to seek out the Mimosa Bar and obtain a complimentary mimosa. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase. During the social hour, you will be treated to the classical guitar stylings of Plumas County resident, Andrew Orhen. A most talented guitarist, Andrew, will beautifully enhance what will already be an atmosphere of visual delights, goodwill, and love. The afternoon will conclude in the Meeting Hall with a formal concert featuring the “Forget Me Not”. The duo is composed of Kelsey Kepple and Linda Margaretic, who perform upbeat folk music and harmonize beautifully with one another. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Sierra City Improvement Group.
Admission is $40 per person, and reservations are highly recommended. Reservations can be made by contacting Chris Stockdale at 530-277-6408 or cstockrock@gmail.com. Additionally, making a reservation will result in a $5 discount and guarantee admission. Questions and concerns should also be directed to Chris.
We do hope you’ll join us for a memorable Mother’s Day afternoon and, if not, that you find another way to acknowledge “Mom” in a manner that expresses your love and gratitude.
