Tuesday, April 21

04:55 - Non-injury vehicle accident near Calpine.

09:00 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

15:01 - 9-1-1 hang-up from Goodyears Bar caused by water on phone lines.

19:20 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

Wednesday, April 22

07:12 - Information about a conflict in the Alleghany area. No Sheriff’s Office response was required.

07:29 - Report of possible human bones being found in the early fall season last year. Deputies searched the area but found nothing.

08:04 - The Forest Service conducted a controlled burn near Sierraville.

08:58 - Box truck roll-over accident near Bassetts. One patient was transported to the hospital.

15:31 - Child custody issue in Sierra City.

18:46 - A deputy found an unoccupied vehicle that may have been involved in an accident near Alleghany. The Highway Patrol was notified.

19:57 - A caller wanted to speak with the Sheriff’s Office about “random topics” and about another Sheriff’s Office being unable to help. A deputy determined that no crime had occurred and that the referenced topics were not related to Sierra County. The caller may have been experiencing mental health issues.

Thursday, April 23

12:41 - Information about a possible scam in Verdi.

12:43 - A caller requested a deputy to dispose of hypodermic needles scattered near a dumpster in Downieville. When the deputy arrived, the caller had already correctly disposed of the needles.

17:54 - Request for an ambulance in Chilcoot. Plumas County authorities were notified.

Friday, April 24

11:09 - Investigation in Downieville.

13:44 - Ambulance requested in Downieville.

16:57 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

19:39 - Theft of multiple firearms in Downieville. The reporting party followed up with deputies.

21:29 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

23:49 - Ambulance requested near Sierraville.

Saturday, April 25

09:26 - Accidental 9-1-1 call from the Verdi area.

09:58 - Report of illegal dumping near the state line.

10:30 - Request for assistance getting a vehicle unstuck from snow on a Forest Service road near Sierra City. A Highway Patrol officer was able to assist.

16:55 - People got a vehicle stuck in the snow near Webber Lake. A deputy assisted, and the vehicle was freed.

20:19 - Report of a possible suicidal subject who may harm others in Loyalton. Deputies contacted all involved parties and found no signs of a suicidal subject or potential harm to others. A follow-up was scheduled concerning family issues.

20:19 - A mandated reporter gave information about a possible suicidal juvenile. Deputies contacted the involved parties and developed a plan to connect the juvenile with resources. It was found that statements made by the juvenile were out of frustration, and there was no concrete plan to commit suicide.

Sunday, April 26

07:29 - Lost dog in Sierra City.

09:34 - Ambulance requested in Sierra City.

09:36 - Possible broken-down vehicle on Highway 49.

12:23 - Request for a welfare check in Loyalton.
