18:05 - Unclear 9-1-1 call demanding deputies in Loyalton. It was found that a family fight had occurred and that alcohol was involved. No parties wanted to press charges.

01:03 - Fire alarm inside a Downieville residence. Downieville Fire could see no smoke or signs of fire at the property, and the household was locked.

10:23 - Lost dog near Stampede Reservoir.

14:12 - Possible shots fired near Packer Saddle.

14:14 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

14:35 - Report of a drunk person in Downieville.

15:21 - Information provided for documentation purposes in Downieville.

18:18 - Successful civil service in Sierra Brooks.

Wednesday, May 20

05:41 - Lift assist in Loyalton.

10:25 - Request for a welfare check in Sierra Brooks. The subject was found safe and sound.

11:17 - Request for next-of-kin information in Loyalton.

14:42 - Report of a hit-and-run in Loyalton.

15:49 - Report of attempted assault with a vehicle on a county roadway in Alleghany. Information was provided to the Highway Patrol.

18:10 - Report of a reckless motorcyclist in Loyalton. The Highway Patrol was unable to locate the rider.

18:35 - Report of boulders on Highway 49 at Depot Hill. Caltrans was able to remove them.

Thursday, May 21

06:06 - An inmate transport from the Nevada County jail was canceled.

08:43 - Request for assistance with a probation search in Downieville.

11:19 - Report of vehicle damage at the courthouse parking lot. Surveillance camera footage found that no damage occurred while the vehicle was in the lot.

12:56 - Deer depredation in the Sierraville area. Investigation determined it was likely killed by a mountain lion. The information was reported to Fish and Wildlife.

13:20 - Report of tangled power lines in Sierra City. PG&E was notified.

14:43 - Information that a large party was camping near Loyalton.

15:13 - Agency assist for a probation search in Downieville.

15:39 - Report of a restraining order violation in Loyalton, but it was determined that no violation occurred.

15:59 - Request for assistance with a probation search in Downieville.

Friday, May 22

07:57 - Assistance requested from another agency to deal with a suspicious person at Stampede Reservoir. The person was cited for an outstanding Washington state warrant.

08:09 - Report of cattle loose on Highway 49 in Plumas County. The Susanville Highway Patrol was notified.

09:15 - Report of two missing dogs in Sierraville.

11:42 - Accidental 9-1-1 call from Loyalton.

15:02 - Request for a welfare check on a juvenile who may be living in the forest with “multiple questionable individuals.” Deputies and Child Protective Services searched the reported location but found no signs of anyone in the area. The welfare check could not be completed.

16:57 - Report of harassing comments made to a Sierra City property owner. Documentation was written.

17:45 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

20:17 - Report of “disorderly individuals” in the Hoke Valley area shooting guns and driving utility vehicles while drunk. Deputies located and admonished the individuals.

21:29 - A landline service issue in western Sierra County was resolved.

Saturday, May 23

00:19 - Property check requested for a business due to an internet outage.

13:45 - Report of a reckless driver near Lookout Campground. The Sheriff’s Office was unable to locate the driver.

17:34 - Report of a fight in Downieville. A deputy was unable to locate anything amiss.

18:11 - Possible illegal burning near Sierraville reported. It was found to be a legal campfire.

18:19 - Report of overdue hikers south of Sierraville. The subjects were found safe and sound.

19:03 - Request for a property check near Downieville due to a possible break-in within the last month.

23:54 - A caller was worried after waking up to shots being fired near Stampede Reservoir. The parties were determined to be legally shooting and not being harmful or threatening.

Sunday, May 24

08:56 - Report of a vehicle that broke down on an off-road trail near Poker Flat.

11:25 - Lift assist requested in Loyalton.

12:42 - Ambulance request in Alleghany. The request was later canceled.

13:52 - Report of fraud in Downieville.

13:59 - Accidental 9-1-1 call from Stampede Reservoir.

17:06 - Ambulance requested in Sierra City.

17:47 - Accidental 9-1-1 call from Sierra City.
