11:27 - Deputies made contact with someone on Highway 49 near Indian Valley.

11:52 - Deputies made contact with a vehicle on Highway 49 near Convict Flat.

13:11 - Report of illegal dumping in the Verdi area.

13:32 - Unsuccessful civil service in Pike.

14:00 - Report of theft in Downieville.

14:26 - Report of subjects entering a building in Sierra City. A deputy made contact with the reporting party.

14:56 - Report of illegal burning in Sierra City.

16:09 - Deputies made contact with a vehicle near Union Flat.

16:40 - Report of a lost dog in Sierraville.

20:31 - Possible DUI near the Yuba Pass.

21:56 - 9-1-1 call with static on the line from Sierra City. It was caused by an ongoing issue with water on the phone line.

22:29 - Subjects called 9-1-1 after being lost near Crystal Peak, and their vehicle became stuck in brush beside the roadway. 775 Offroad and Recover, the Sheriff’s Office, and the Highway Patrol responded. The vehicle could not be recovered, but the subjects were transported home to Reno.

23:11 - Verbal family fight in Loyalton. The involved parties were separated for the night.

Wednesday, May 6

08:54 - Civil service successfully served in Sierra Brooks.

09:38 - Report of a dog problem in Loyalton.

12:03 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

16:04 - Request for the Sheriff’s Office to be on the lookout for a reckless driver in Loyalton. Deputies were unable to locate the driver.

17:14 - Deputies successfully evicted someone from a residence in Sierra City.

17:31 - Report of lost property in the Verdi area.

19:06 - A caller reported a possible kidnapping with a ransom demand. A deputy spoke with the caller, determining that it was likely a scam to bait the reporting party into paying over money. No money was exchanged.

21:49 - Report of a reckless driver on US-395. A deputy conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was not under the influence.

Thursday, May 7

05:54 - Property found in Downieville.

09:23 - Request for assistance conducting a probation search in Downieville.

09:50 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

10:20 - Someone was arrested for arson near Camptonville.

11:37 - Report of a vehicle accident on Highway 70 outside of Sierra County. The Highway Patrol was already aware.

11:43 - Citizen assist in Camptonville.

15:00 - Request for assistance with a probation search in Downieville.

17:40 - Report of an injured deer on a Loyalton property. A deputy attempted to euthanize the animal, but it jumped over a fence and ran away.

Friday, May 8

08:01 - Report of a person sleeping in a vehicle in Loyalton. The person and vehicle were gone before deputies arrived.

10:36 - Civil standby requested for a family dispute in Loyalton.

16:59 - Report of the theft of a purse out of a vehicle near Stampede Reservoir.

18:59 - Report of loud music in Calpine. A deputy contacted the reporting party and explained Sierra County’s noise restrictions, which begin at 10 PM.

19:00 - Deputies patrolled Loyalton during the Loyalton School’s Manhunt.

19:45 - Ambulance requested in Downieville.

20:16 - Report of theft in Alleghany.

Saturday, May 9

09:52 - Report of a water line break in Downieville. Water service was temporarily interrupted.

11:13 - Report of a large car group driving recklessly on Highway 49 near Sierraville.

14:51 - Ambulance requested at Stampede Reservoir.

15:38 - The Sheriff’s Office received an automated iPhone message advising of a serious vehicle accident near Loyalton. Deputies were unable to locate such an accident.

16:23 - Report that the Ruby Repeater radio site was not secured.

17:17 - A motorist’s spouse requested assistance freeing a vehicle from mud near Stampede Reservoir. When a deputy arrived, the motorist refused assistance, explaining that other help was already on the way.

18:43 - A traffic stop was conducted on a driver near Stampede Reservoir, and field sobriety tests were administered. The driver was determined not to be impaired.

20:53 - A deputy issued a fire permit to a citizen near Stampede Reservoir.

23:17 - A caller from Sierraville accidentally dialed 9-1-1 from a watch while replacing a battery. A deputy double-checked the residence and confirmed the call was accidental.

Sunday, May 10

09:33 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

09:56 - Enloe Care Flight was training a new pilot, who would be conducting landings at county landing zones the following day.

11:36 - A backpack was found on Highway 49 near Downieville. It was later retrieved by the owner.

12:29 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.

15:30 - Report of a fire inside a residence in Calpine.

17:32 - A deputy made contact with a vehicle on Highway 49 near Downieville.

19:05 - Dog bite in Pike. The dog was quarantined.

19:49 - Vehicle off the roadway near the Nevada Border. The Highway Patrol was notified.

21:55 - Ambulance requested in Loyalton.
