Stop the Presses!

The un-press-idented has happened in Grass Valley!

What? Huh?

Just want to draw it to your attention that one of your loyal “valley” readers has achieved a new high score on the Messenger’s weekly Trivia Test!!! Personal Best! Huzzahs!

I study the questions on page nine every week, and do my best, but they cover a very wide range of subjects and require quite specific knowledge to answer. Despite my best efforts, I typically only manage to get 1 1/2 - 3 of them right. (I sometimes give myself partial credit for “leaners.”) Still, I persevere...

This week — drumroll, please! — I got five of the answers, all clearly, entirely correct.

Without counting an almost-correct answer. (I said Apollo was the Greek god of the sun; turns out it was Helios. Well, that makes a certain amount of linguistic sense. Please note, however, that Apollo was the Greek god of light... pretty dern close.)

So there! FIVE righteously correct answers! I couldn’t wait to share this moment of triumph with other readers.

Okay, you may resume running the presses!

Giggles,

Scottie
